Do I need a fishing license? Where can I get one?

Licenses are required. Montana (state) and Yellowstone (park) fishing licenses available through WTO (Wild Trout Outfitters) at our fly shop.

Can I rent gear? What should I bring?

You can rent all the gear you would need for a trip at the WTO fly shop. Click here for details on the essentials to bring.

Where can I find pictures and media of past trips?

Where can I stay?

There are numerous lodges and hotels in the area. Buck's T-4 Lodge and Conference Center is a great stay. Call the shop for more ideas.

How can I get around? Is there a designated taxi?

Transportation to and from the fishing site is provided. Taxi services are available, please call Big Sky Taxi at 406-995-4895.

Is a deposit required?

To insure your booking with Wild Trout Outfitters Inc., a $200.00 deposit per day is required at time of booking. Total due upon arrival. In case of cancellations, thirty days notice is required. Cancellations of under their days are non-refundable. No refunds without Outfitter approval.

What does my trip include?

Trip Package Inclusions: Full-Day Trips include: Guide, Transportation, Delicious Lunch, and Non-Alcoholic Beverage. Half-Day Trips include: Guide, Transportation and Non-Alcoholic Beverage.

Are reservations necessary? Can I just show up?

Reservations are required for Full-Day Horsepack Trips, and are strongly suggested for all other trip options.

How does Wild Trout Outfitters Inc., Operate?

Wild Trout Outfitters Inc., operates under a special use permit with the Gallatin National Forest.
