Float Tube
Fishing
This is an excellent way to access the numerous alpine lakes in
our
area. Float tube fishing for the Gulpers of Hebgen and Ennis
Lakes can produce
huge rainbow and brown trout. The term Gulper originated on
Hebgen Lake and
refers to the sound made by large trout from mid-June
through August, as they
inhale small mayflies from the surface. In spring and fall,
streamer fishing is
very productive as trout gather at the inlet mouth prior to
spawning. |
